Kanye West has settled a copyright dispute with motorbike legend Evel Knievel after a private meeting at the stuntman’s Florida home. The veteran stintman sued the rapper and his record label last December, claiming the video for the 2006 single Touch The Sky had tarnished Knievel’s image, due to its “vulgar, sexual nature.” In the vid, Kanye is spotted kissing Pamela Anderson before attempting to jump a rocket-powered motorcycle across a canyon, which seemed to parody Knievel’s attempt to clear the Snake River Canyon in Idaho in 1974.
Fat Joe will be honored for his charity work on behalf of In Arms Inc. in New York City on Thursday night. In Arms Reach Inc. is a nonprofit group that offers assistance to the children of prisoners.
The Bronx-bred Boricua says: “I’m proud to help bring awareness to this segment of youth, at a time when so many of our families in the minority community remain separated by the system.”
The ceremony will be held at the City University of New York’s City College.
Birdman has been arrested for allegedly possessing marijuana and is facing a number of charges relating to possible gun offences. The 38-year-old – real name Bryan ‘Baby’ Williams – was among sixteen people detained in Kingsport, Tennesse on Tuesday. He was travelling in an RV (recreational vehicle) which was stopped by police following an improper lane change. A search of the vehicle revealed large amounts of marijuana. Baby’s wife, brother and thirteen other people, who are believed to be employees of the record company, were each charged with possession of the drug. Police also allegedly found several guns in the vehicle, but currently no charges relating to the find have been filed.
Fabolous was at New York nightclub Duvet when his friend was fatally stabbed last week – according to the venue’s promoter. The star’s lawyer has claimed Fabolous was not at Duvet when Shamel McKinney was attacked. Read the rest of this entry »
Janet Jackson’s still untitled debut album for Island Def Jam will be released in February 2008, Billboard Magazine reports. Janet is also prepping a massive world tour to promote the new release.

Usher and his wife, Tameka Foster, welcomed a baby boy on Monday night, multiple sources tell PEOPLE. Usher was with his wife and new child Tuesday at an Atlanta hospital, and the family is expected to head home on Wednesday.
