R&B singer/producer Ne-Yo was sentenced to twenty-four hours of community service for his arrest on reckless driving earlier this year. VH1 will broadcast The 46664 Concert Honoring Nelson Mandela at 90 from London’s Hyde Park on June 27th, the network announced on Tuesday. Actor Will Smith will host for the musicial showcase, featuring headlines Amy Winehouse and Leona Lewis.
Barack Obama has effectively clinched the Democratic nomination for President, The Associated Press reports. The 46-year-old Senator from Illinois outlasted former First Lady Hillary Clinton in the historic run for the White House. He now goes on to face Arizona Senator John McCain in the General Election this November. Barack Obama is the first black candidate to lead a major party’s campaign for President.
