Lackluster rapper Tony Yayo is in discussion to portray hip-hop legend KRS-ONE in a new movie about the iconic Juice Crew and the birth of hip-hop.
“I’m going to play KRS-One… That’s 50’s favorite rapper… They’re trying to do it right now.”
Akeelah & The Bee star Keke Palmer has already signed up for the role of Roxanne Shante in the film, while Evan Ross will portray MC Shan.
Despite months of rumors that Amy Winehouse would be the singing Bond Girl, it is multiplatinum-selling Grammy winner Alicia Keys who will team up with White Stripes rocker Jack White to perform “Another Way To Die,” the theme for the 22nd James Bond movie, the Quantum of Solace, which hits theatres in November.
“Another Way To Die” will be the first theme to feature a duet in James Bond history.
The soundtrack to Quantum of Solace will be released by J Records on October 28, 2008.
T-Pain has selected the cover art for his new album Thr33 Ringz, to be released on the singer’s birthday, September 30.
Nelly will make a multi-episode guest appearance as a club owner/informant on the forensic crime series CSI: NY this Fall.
“He’s a great actor,” Pam Veasey, the show’s executive producer, told Entertainment Weekly of Nellz’ guest spot. “He really stepped up.”
