Janet Jackson has cancelled two dates on her 2008 Rock Witchu Tour after the singing star mysteriously fell ill and had to be hospitalized just before a show in Montreal on Monday.

Janet’s concerts in Boston (October 1) and Philadelphia (October 2) will be rescheduled, according to a statement from the star’s rep. The tour will resume in Greensboro, NC, this Saturday, October 4.

It’s a wrap for Rap City. BET has pulled the plug of the hip-hop oriented series after 21 seasons, the network announced Tuesday.

Effective November 10, Rap City will be replaced by The Deal, a new hour long video series hosted by DJ Diamond Kutz and patterned by the original show.

Janet is being monitored at a local hospital and hopes to reschedule the show.
