Maxwell’s back. After a eight year hiatus, neo-soul vet Maxwell is back on the scene with a new album, BLACKsummer’snight. Featuring the single “Pretty Wings,” the LP will arrive in stores on July 7.
LL Cool J Clothing Line Folds At Sears
LL Cool J luxury clothing line is folding just one year after its launch due to poor sales.
The hip-hop icon teamed up with veteran department store Sears to stock his signature hip-hop clothing line in May 2008, but according to Wooha.com, Sears bosses are pulling the plug on the collection for good.
Lil Wayne “Rebirth” Delayed — New Release Date June 23
Lil Wayne has been forced to delay the release of his debut rock album for the third time after failing to secure sample clearances.
The Lollipop star’s Rebirth disc was originally due to hit stores in early April, but was subsequently postponed until May.
Rebirth will now drop on June 23, according to Entertainment Weekly.
FOX Won’t Air Obama First 100 Days Press Conference
Republican-affiliated network Fox has become the first broadcast network to turn down a request for air by President Barack Obama. On Wednesday Instead of airing the president’s prime-time news conference on Wednesday, FOX will broadcast its drama Lie to Me.
ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC and CNBC are all carrying the 8PM EDT event — albeit grudgingly –which falls on Obama’s 100th day in office.

We hear Beyonce’s baby sister, Solange Knowles, is in discussions to perform as the opening act for Michael Jackson’s upcoming 50-Date European Tour at London’s O2 Arena this summer.
Swizz Beatz Hennessy Black Endorsement Deal

Swizz Beatz and Hennessy V.S. are teaming to launch a new limited-edition line of cognac, called Hennessy Black.
Swizz will perform an original song, “When I Step Into the Club,” alongside the JabbaWockeez of “America’s Best Dance Crew” during a launch event in New York City next Tuesday, May 5, Billboard.com reports. Director Hype Williams will direct an accompanying music video.
“Beatz is a long-time fan of the brand and approached us looking for ways we could work together. Since this product is all about having fun in the club, he suggested collaborating on a track that would be a hot dance song in the clubs,” Andy Glaser, senior VP of Hennessy Business, said in a statement to Billboard on Monday.

Naomi Campbell is hanging up her high heels for good after 25 years of strutting her stuff on the catwalk.
The often-volatile supermodel has announced plans to retire from runway modeling because she is anxious to settle down and start a family.
The London-born beauty is currently dating Russian billionaire Vladislav Doronin.
