“America’s Next Top Model” Transgender Isis: “ANTM Cycle 11″ Transsexual Contestant Isis
The 11th cycle of Tyra Banks’ America’s Next Top Model will feature the first transsexual contestant to appear on the televised model search.
“My cards were dealt differently,” says Isis, a 22-year-old receptionist from Prince George’s County, Maryland . Isis identifies herself as “a woman born physically male,” adding that she was “born in the wrong body” and always felt completely female.
“I like to help people, but I’m here to follow my dreams.”
America’s Next Top Model Cycle 11 premieres on The CW Network September 3.

How about we judge her for how she models and not for what or who she is.
And, seriously, for all the people who comment on how she’s not ‘pretty’, MOST models are not everyday pretty girls but are hired because they look ‘interesting’ and unique. Sometimes ‘pretty’ girls can’t take the amount of make-up most editorial models require.

It’s true what they say, people fear what they do not understand, and we automatically expect Isis to be ashamed of who she is, but she isn’t, and it’s so refreshing to see that. More power to her!
