Apollo “Amateur Night” 75th Anniversary Concert (Ft. Ron Browz)
Harlem’s World-Famous Apollo Theater will celebrate the 75th anniversary of its “Amateur Night” with a show featuring rapper Ron Browz on Wednesday night.
In 1934, Ralph Cooper Sr. launched a live version of his radio show, “Amateur Nite Hour” at the Apollo, built in 1914.
The first 75 tickets for tonight’s show will cost $7.50, according to the Associated Press.
