Aretha Franklin Home Foreclosure: Aretha Franklin Tax Bill Home Foreclosure

March 13th, 2008 · 5 Comments · Tagged as Aretha Franklin

Aretha Franklin could lose her home to the Tax Man. The Queen of Soul says an attorney’s mistake caused her $700,000 1927 brick-mansion in Detroit to slip into foreclosure over $445 in 2005 taxes and late fees. Arethan now owes $19,192 in back taxes on the property between 2005-2007. The legendary songstress also owes $18,746 in back taxes and fees for the 2006 and 2007 tax years, but foreclosure proceedings on those debts wouldn’t begin until next year.

That was a kickass article. What do I do now?
