Aretha Franklin Refuses To Perform With Alicia Keys Mary J. Blige MusiCares
The Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin refused to perform with Alicia Keys or Mary J. Blige during the MusiCares event at the LA Convention Center over the weekend.
“Aretha refused to have Alicia Keys or Mary J. Blige perform,” fearing she’d be upstaged, our spy said. Instead, it was a “C-list lineup” of Corinne Bailey Rae, pianist Lang Lang, BeBe and CeCe Ledisi, and Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi,” a New York Post spy reveals.
