also when beyonce said that tina was the queen of soul the whole audience looked puzzled,even i was shocked.she said it front of areatha face at the awards and many people can understand why areatha was hurt.but she seemed to compose herself pretty well on camera.they showed her expression after beyoncee said it.but whoever told her to say it shouldn`t have.

it really needs to stop.areatha was already given an award for being queen of soul.areatha has been a soloist since the 60`s.tina didn`t become a soloist until the 80`s with what`s love got to do with it .then areatha came out with the song freeway.beyoncee is young.tina came out when beyoncee was born that`s probably why she said that.then she got up there and outdance &trying to outsing the 70 year old singer like it was her concert.and her daddy is being silly too.everybody has a queen in their house.but there is 1queen of soul,and 3 divas:whitney,madonna,janet.they have been making music since the 80`s.beyoncee have decades to go.and somebody needs to tell solange to quit singing!!!!!!! please.

I agree with Lucy. I think Ms. Turner has carried herself with way more dignity and grace during this feud than has Ms. Franklin. Furthermore, were it not for Aretha’s initial remarks, non of this drama would be going on anyway. I saw a recent interview in which Ms Franklin was asked which of her musical peers she DOESN’T like. Her response (delivered in her best improvisation of Ms. Turner’s prologue to “Proud Mary”) was simply “I like it rough”. Just plain wrong, lol.

they both need to shut the fuck up and sit down. we got too much other shit to worry about! neither one of them can fix this economy so who gives a shit. they can’t wipe their ass with the title of queen. at the end of the day they still see us as “you know whats”
