The Senator from Illinois just made history after being elected the first Black President of the United States of America.
The new First Family, which includes the President-Elect, his wife of 16 years, Michelle Obama, and their two daughters, Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, will move into The White House on Inauguration Day January 20.
I really don’t have words right now. This is a very emotional moment….one I didn’t think I’d see in my lifetime. It is a moment that proves that no barrier, not even race, can hold you back if you don’t allow it to.

I just wanted to say that I am a 35 yr. old woman that was born and raised in waterloo ,Ia. I can remeber saying I would never see a black pres. And to see the history is amazing. When I was in grade school I was a odd ball because my mother is white and my father was black and nobody wanted to be my friend I was not black and I was not white and today someone just like me is the man and I feel so good and my kids finally have someone they can look up to and they see they can also be somebody no more excuses I am just happy……………………………………..
