Beyonce Latina Magazine October 2007; ‘I Wish I Was Born Latina!’

Beyonce has stirred up controversy after butt-kissing interview with Latina Magazine. Bey told the brown mag: “I’m just jealous that I wasn’t born Latina. I wish I had been because the culture is so beautiful.”

why would she cause a controversy, is it because blacks are so sensitive that one made a mention of wanting to be another race, Jesus Christ. White people say that nonsense all the time. I don’t understand what all the fuss is about. I think that she was welcomed within the Latino stations and nobody was trying to kiss her ass like this blog is stating. Latinos love their people, period. Maybe she felt that she wasn’t being hated on by yet another black radio DJ(such as Miss Jones Fat self) for being successful at what she can do: sing. I think that the fact that blacks hate on each other is a shame becuase they are a beautiful people as well, but the hate only drags you down and stunts your growth with all due respect. That’s not being a racist, becuase I tell that to black folks all the time. They know that too, but they still revert to that nonsense.
Look it’s not like she wanted to or dated a latino, but if she did, who the hell cares. We are a people of color. Rihanna decided that she wanted to date white boys, I’ve yet to hear any backlash from her, but maybe it’s because black men keep commenting on her big ass forehead, which I have no problem with. The Self-Loathing has to stop at some point, but when is it going to happen.

In my opinion, she is who she is. The fact that she does have French and Indian, well that would make her part Latina and Part everything else regardless of what everyone else wants to call her.
I, myself am mixed with French, German, Italian, Pilipino, Indian, and Puerto Rican. My mother was born in Mexico, but our bloodline tells a whole different story. Still when I say I’m not Mexican I hear the same BS. I always say I am Latino because that word represents all Latinos of all color and culture.
I am not ashamed and I am not confused either, I just feel LATINO is a better fit for me.
I think Beyonce is simply just expressing herself to let everyone know she is who she is and proud of it. French is of Latin origin, like it or not.
Look at the DeBarge family, they are considered black because that’s how the media made them appear, but they are Puerto Rican (Latino Heritage Background), it’s just the way it is. The only reason why such claims are being made is because it is assumed that ALL Puerto Ricans are black.
Back in the days way before our time, there were allot of runaway slaves that went to South America, were accepted, mixed races were born in those areas as well as here in North America and other parts of the world. And yes it was scientifically proven that we all have DNA of African descent because YES, it is where it all began.
You know, I may be the first Latino to ever admit that, loll.
Anyways, she is who she is and people should just let her be, she is beautiful in every way and in my opinion, she is of the HUMAN RACE.
Love, peace, and happiness… Jose.

A lot of people hate to admit it but Beyonce is an African-American woman. We all have some type of culture and background…but does that mean we must all say we are a mixture?
People like to say she is not BLACK she is Creole. Well I have news for you people…Creole is an ethicity not a race.
Beyonce never claimed being anything else than Black…and it is you people to despise our race that like to make her what she is not.
