C-Murder Second Murder Trial Begins Today
The long-awaited retrial of Corey Miller, better known as rapper C-Murder, began in a New Orleans courtroom on Monday.
Miller, the brother of rapper Master P, is charged with second-degree murder and faces a mandatory life sentence if convicted of killing 16-year-old Steve Thomas during a brawl in a city nightclub in 2002.
C-Murder was convicted of the murder in 2003, but the judge granted the No Limit star a new trial after finding prosecutors improperly kept the defense from accessing criminal background information on three state witnesses.
