When President Barack Obama became the first African-American elected to The White House in Nov. 2008,
hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs — along with much of the rest of The Hip-Hop World — was one of the former senator’s strongest supporters. The Bad Boy mogul even helped spearhead the “Rock the Vote” campaign. But more than two years later, as the nation continues to fight crippling unemployment, stalled healthcare legislation, and a economic recession, Diddy’s giving the Commander-in-Chief a tough assessment.

“I just want the president to do better,” the Dirty Money frontman remarks on the pages of this month’s edition of The Source.

Diddy said he specifically hoped Obama would do more for the underprivileged in America, noting that “[many] of those people are African-American.”

The star, who admitted that he cried with joy when Obama was elected, also criticized political game playing.

“I’d rather have a black president that was man enough to say that he was doing something for black people have one term than a president who played the politics game have two terms,” said Diddy.

Uh-oh. Someone’s pissed off the employers! NFL star Chad Ochocinco and Basketball Wives personality Evelyn Lozada — two of VH1′s biggest reality stars — are dating one another and according to TMZ.com, VH1 is none too pleased with the romance.

We hear the network is peeved that Chad’s Tweeting about his relationship with Evelyn while he’s still the star of his currently airing reality dating show — The Ultimate Catch. The network is upset because of the “spoiler” that Ochocinco obviously doesn’t end up with any of the ladies on the show.

Noted MSNBC correspondent Chris Matthews has come under fire after he made a racially-insensitive remark about President Barack Obama following the Commander-In-Chief’s first State of the Union address to the nation on Wednesday.

Oh boy….controversy’s a’comin….

“You know, I was trying to think about who he was tonight. It’s interesting: he is post-racial, by all appearances. I forgot he was black tonight for an hour. You know, he’s gone a long way to become a leader of this country, and past so much history, in just a year or two,” Matthews remarked to fellow MSNBC liberal Keith Olbermann.

“I mean, it’s something we don’t even think about. I was watching, I said, wait a minute, he’s an African American guy in front of a bunch of other white people,” Chris rambled on. “And here he is president of the United States and we’ve completely forgotten that tonight — completely forgotten it. I think it was in the scope of his discussion. It was so broad-ranging, so in tune with so many problems, of aspects, and aspects of American life that you don’t think in terms of the old tribalism, the old ethnicity. It was astounding in that regard. A very subtle fact. It’s so hard to talk about. Maybe I shouldn’t talk about it, but I am. I thought it was profound that way.”

Chris’ remarks are already causing a stir online, with thousands of angry surfers taking to the Interwebs to voice their frustration, confusion, or indifference over the remark. Where do you stand?

The Oscar and Grammy-winning star performed the National Anthem at the Democratic National Convention in 2008, when then-Senator Obama accepted the Democratic nomination for president.

The committee said it attached particular emphasis on the President’s vision of a world without nuclear weapons.

The stunning choice made Obama only the third sitting U.S. president to win the Nobel Peace Prize, shocking many Nobel watchers who believed it was too early to award the president. Barack Obama took office only weeks before the committee’s Feb. 1 deadline for nominations. Theodore Roosevelt won the award in 1906 and Woodrow Wilson won in 1919. Former President Jimmy Carter won the award in 2002, while former Vice President Al Gore shared the 2007 prize with the U.N. panel on climate change.

“Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future,” the committee said this morning. “His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world’s population.”

“Obama has as president created a new climate in international politics. Multilateral diplomacy has regained a central position, with emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions can play,” the committee said.

“I think it’s based on racism,” Carter said at a town hall at his presidential center in Atlanta Tuesday. “There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president.”

It’s a claim those close to Wilson vehemently deny.

“There is not a racist bone in my dad’s body,” said Alan Wilson, an Iraq veteran who is running for state attorney general in South Carolina. “He doesn’t even laugh at distasteful jokes. I won’t comment on former President Carter, because I don’t know President Carter. But I know my dad, and it’s just not in him.”

“It’s unfortunate people make that jump. People can disagree — and appropriately disagree — on issues of substance, but when they make the jump to race it’s absolutely ludicrous. My brothers and I were raised by our parents to respect everyone regardless of background or race.”
