In an interview with ABC This Week’s George Stephanopoulos on Sunday, President-Elect Barack Obama revealed that daughters Sasha, 7, and Malia, 10, have shortened the list of possible choices for a new “First Dog” down to two breeds.
“They seem to have narrowed it down to a Labradoodle or a Portuguese water hound. So we’re now going to start looking at shelters to see when one of those dogs might come up.”
Marian Robinson, the mother-in-law of President-Elect Barack Obama is moving into the White House- at least temporarily- to assist daughter Michelle and granddaughters Sasha and Malia as they adjust to their new life in Washington, transition officials said Friday.

President-Elect Barack Obama will meet Spider-Man in a special Inauguration Day issue of Marvel’s “The Amazing Spider-Man.” According to Marvel’s Web site, the story will find Spider-Man attempting to stop one of his oldest foes from interfering with the inauguration.
The issue will be available for $3.99 at local comic book stores January 14.
