Beef with Jay-Z is the now the least of Beanie Siegel’s problems.

The former Rocafella signee is facing criminal charges for alleged tax fraud in his native Pennsylvania, federal prosecutors in Philadelphia said this week.

Authorities say Beans, real name Dwight Grant, made $1.5 million between 2002 to 2004, but failed to fill in tax returns, according to court documents filed on Tuesday and obtained by The Associated Press.

Sigel previously served jail time for drug and weapons charges. He was arrested again in 2008 for violating the terms of his probation.

Defense attorney Fortunato Perri Jr. claims Sigel was behind bars during some of the years in question and had third parties handling his finances. Perri points to Sigel’s efforts to curtail violence in his hometown of Philly by leading anti-violence rallies in the community and speaking to local high school students about life choices. He hopes his client can avoid another lengthy prison term.

Sigel’s albums include The Truth, The B. Coming, and The Solution.

The former Jay-Z-comrade-turned-nemesis was a passenger in a vehicle which collided with a tractor trailer, according to a rep for the State Property star.

The Philly native is said to have suffered injuries to his face, arms, and legs in the crash.

“Sigel was apparently leaving a studio in B-more (Baltimore, Maryland) when a tractor trailer side swiped the vehicle he was travelling in. The car was totaled and Beans sustained injuries to his face, arms and legs. It is not known if anyone else was harmed.”

In recent months, Beans has complained of feeling abandoned by his Brooklyn counterpart and recently released the track “Average Cat” to address the issue.

“Beanie Sigel, at the time, and you can look it up if you’d like, was driving two Bentleys,” Jay said in an interview responding to the diss. “With his momma in the sticks and selling 800,000 records. I don’t know. What more can you do for somebody at that point? At some point, you have to look in the mirror and look at yourself.”

Looks like Cassie’s getting the last laugh. After six months on the air as host of his own morning show on Philadelphia’s The Beat 100.3, controversial on-air personality Charlamagne Tha God was fired this morning.

While the official word is for Charlamagne’s ousting is: “The Beat said they want to move in a different direction,” word on the streets is the former Wendy Williams sidekick was bounced because of his exclusive interview with Beanie Sigel, criticizing Jay-Z, that aired last week.

This isn’t the first time Charlamagne’s mouth has gotten him into hot water. Several years ago, the South Carolina native was booted from a local station after a run-in with former video model Buffie The Body. And just a year ago, WBLS in New York dismissed Charlamagne from The Wendy Williams Experience.

For his part, it seem Charlamagne is taken unemployment in stride:

“I hope don’t nobody important die in the next couple of days and steal my thunder. I can ride this promo wave @ least until Wed,” he Tweeted this afternoon.

Beanie Sigel was found guilty Wednesday of a second probation violation for taking a trip to Atlantic City, N.J., and for being in contact with a convicted felon. U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick ordered Beanie to serve one day in federal prison and extended his probation – which was slated to end next month, by eighteen months.

Beanie Siegel used his recent appearance on the latest addition of the “Beef DVD” to diss hip-hop beatmakers Kanye West and Pharrell Williams.
