Dimension Films has released a trailer for the upcoming motion picture Soul Men, starring Samuel L. Jackson and the late Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes, both of whom passed away last month.
The actors play the lone surviving members of popular ’70s soul band in the movie, which opens November 7.
Comedians Steve Harvey, Cedric The Entertainer, and Ashton Kutcher paid tribute to the late Bernie Mac on Larry King Live on Tuesday.

Funeral services for Bernie Mac are scheduled for this Saturday at noon at the House of Hope at 752 E. 114th St. in Chicago. The memorial is open to the public. Mac died over the weekend after a long fight with pneumonia. Donations in the comedian’s honor may be sent to the Bernie Mac Foundation for Sarcoidosis, 40 E. 9th St., Suite 601, Chicago, IL 60605.

Bernie Mac is alive and well despite prank calls to numerous media outlets claiming one-fourth of the Original Kings of Comedy died late Friday.
“It’s not true,” the comedian’s rep said Saturday. “It is a very horrible rumor. Nothing has changed from yesterday.”
Bernie is currently in a Chicago-area hospital recovering from a bout with pneumonia.
Bernie Mac has pneumonia. The 50-year-old comedian is hospitalized in Chicago but “is responding well to treatment and will be released soon,” according to a statement released Friday.
“He asked that his privacy and that of his family is respected while he gets well,” says his rep.
