On Sunday’s 60 Minutes (CBS, 7 PM), correspondent Steve Kroft profiles the “fiercely talented” Grammy night frontrunner Beyonce. Kroft asks the star, who prays before every live performance, where she learned to be a “seductress.”
“Well, just because I had a sheltered upbringing doesn’t mean I haven’t been a woman,” Beyonce laughs. “I’m a woman who has had life experiences.”

In the grainy video footage taken during the December show, the singer is caught impersonating Mrs. Knowles-Carter with a rendition of the “Single Ladies Dance” during a performance of her smash single “Stupid Girls.” The 2006 song was accompanied by a popular music video that parodied Hollywood airheads, like Paris Hilton.
Beyonce is taking a six month break from music so she can “recharge her batteries” and “just live life,” the singing star tells USA Today.
Wynn Las Vegas officials are working to reach a deal that will bring Beyonce back to the famed Sin City hotel and casino for a follow-up of her successful string of concerts last summer, one of which was turned into a Thanksgiving night special on ABC.
Wynn Resorts spokeswoman Jennifer Dunne says there’s no deal yet, but the resort is hoping to ink a lucrative, long-term deal with the “Sasha Fierce” star.
Beyonce appeared at the resort from July 30 through Aug. 2 this year while filming her concert DVD.
The nominees for the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards are in, and Beyonce is leading the pack. The “Sasha Fierce” hitmaker earned a total of 10 Grammy nominations during “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night” event hosted by LL Cool J on Wednesday night.
Beyonce is up for Album of the Year for her 2008 LP I Am … Sasha Fierce, Song of the Year for her mega-hit “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It),” and “Record of the Year for her ballad “Halo.” Nipping at her heels is country sweetie Taylor Swift, who was close behind with eight nominations, including Album, Song, and Record of the Year.
The Black Eyed Peas tied with Maxwell and Kanye West for a total of six nominations each.
Winner will be announced in the 2010 Grammy Awards ceremony at The Staples Center in Los Angeles on Jan. 31, 2010.
Beyonce Knowles will release her fourth solo album next year.
The “Single Lady’ hitmaker made the announcement while performing at a concert in Nottingham, England last week.
“I’ll see you in a year with a new album,” Bee bellowed to fans at the Trent FM Arena.
Beyonce has spent most of this year touring and had released her last album, I Am… Sasha Fierce in Nov. 2008.

Jay-Z refused to walk the red carpet at the Victoria’s Secret show, The New York Post claims. The rapper who attended the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in the Big Apple last Thursday night decided not to be photographed with the lingerie models because he didn’t want to upset his wife Beyonce, who is currently on tour in Ireland.
“Victoria’s Secret begged, but Jay-Z refused,” a source said. “He explained it was out of respect for Beyonce.”
Hov was also given his own booth at the after-party so that he would not be photographed anywhere near the models.
Beyonce did something very “unBeelike” while playing London’s famed 02 Arena on Monday night. The buxom stunner stunned fans by stage-diving into the screaming audience as she belted out the lyrics to her charttopping ballad “Halo.”
