Bobby Brown VH1 “Behind The Music” Special Airs Thurs., Sept. 24
This Thursday, Sept. 24, VH1 will unveil one of its signature Behind The Music specials based on the life and career of ’80s R&B icon Bobby Brown.
“After being kicked out of New Edition and independently establishing himself as the undisputed “King of R&B,” Bobby spun himself into a fast life of drugs and women. Brown eventually married American Pop Princess, Whitney Houston and after an 14-year publically turbulent marriage the two divorced. Bobby Brown relays his life in the spotlight and all of the hardships and glories that he’s faced as one of the most controversial entertainers in R&B.”
Whitney Tells Oprah: “Bobby Was Emotionally Abusive”
Whitney Houston says ex-husband Bobby Brown was emotionally abusive during their 14 year marriage and at one point slapped and spit on her.
On Monday, Whitney — who is staging a career comeback with the release of her album in 7 years, I Look To You – told Oprah that the crooner wasn’t physically abusive but that “he slapped me once but he got hit on the head three times by me.”
Bobby Brown Welcomes Baby Boy With Manager Alicia Etheridge
Bobby P is a dad for the fifth time – his manager girlfriend Alicia Etheridge gave birth to a baby boy in Las Vegas this week.
The ’80s boy bander made the announcement during a concert at Rok Nightclub in New York City on Wednesday (03Jun09), revealing the couple welcomed their son Cassius into the world on Monday June 1, TMZ.com reports.
The “Don’t Be Cruel” star has four other children from previous relationships, including 22-year-old Landon (an aspiring performer who appeared on MTV’s Rock the Cradle) with Melika Williams, 19-year-old LaPrincia and 17-year-old Bobby Brown Jr. with Kim Ward, and 16-year-old Bobbi Kristina from his marriage to pop diva Whitney Houston.

Landon Brown Whitney Houston Stepson Abuse
Remember the Evil Stepmother who tormented her beautiful stepdaughter in the classic fairytale Cinderella? Ok, that’s Whitney Houston. The Grammy Award-winning pop diva spent years treating her stepson like a second-class citizen, twenty-two year old Landon Brown is telling The National Enquirer. Landon, the eldest son of R&B singer Bobby Brown, was recently voted off MTV’s reality hit Rock The Cradle, but according to him, being cast away is a feeling he’s visited a few times in his short journey through life.
In scathing Enquirer article, Landon blasts his former stepmother, accusing the music legend of never accepting him into her family. Landon says Whitney refused to allow him to sleep in her home, kept him away from his baby sister Bobbi Kristina, and even forced him to work as a security guard for her.
“Whitney and I never realy got along. She didn’t necessarily hate me, but she wouldn’t really speak to me either. In Whitney’s eyes, I was the stepchild-that’s how I was treated. I’d get harassed about cocaine rumors almost everyday at school.”
