We wonder what excuse Chamillionaire will come up with to explain why he’s almost $200,000 in the hole to Uncle Sam. The “Ridin’” hitmaker sparked rumors that he’s facing serious cashflow troubles following the recent foreclosure of the $2 million Houston, Texas mansion he purchased in 2006. Cham, however, insisted it was his own decision to “let that house go” because it had turned into a bad real estate investment.
Riiight….
Looks like Chamillionaire’s money woes are far from over – he and his wife Deetra owe the IRS $184,000 in back taxes, The Detroit News reports. A tax lien was filed against the couple in November for unpaid income taxes dating back to 2007.
Denial, it’s not just a river in Egypt. With “Ridin’ Dirty” rising to the top of Billboard no longer, Texas’ own Chamillionaire recently saw his Dallas mansion lost to foreclosure.
But don’t cry for the rap star — it’s a move Cham’s calling “a calculated business decision.”
Oh — is that what the broke folk are calling it these days?
Three Six Mafia visited TRL on Friday. The Academy Award winning group out of Memphis will be launching the debut of a new reality series on the MTV network in March. The guys debuted the music video for their latest single “Doe Boy Fresh” featuring Chamillionaire.
