Apparently, the “Run It” hitmaker is still feeling the effects of public backlash from his brutal assault on pop star ex Rihanna last winter. On Wednesday, Brown took to his SayNow.com page to throw himself on the mercy of fans in a quest to climb back to the top of the charts.

Chris Brown’s a pretty good street sweeper. The scandal-scarred R&B crooner got a positive progress report in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday. A judge told the singer that he is doing “really well” in serving out his probation and community service. The star’s completed 32 days of labor completed so far. The singer was sentenced in October following his arrest on charges of felony assault against Rihanna in February 2009. His next progress report is set for May 11.

In June, Chris plead guilty to one count of assault, following an altercation with ex-girlfriend Rihanna, earlier this year. He was sentenced to 180 days of community service, five years probation, counseling, and an order to stay away from Rihanna.
