The multiplatinum-winning Grammy winner has played just a handful of gigs since dropping her lone solo album — the critically-acclaimed Miseducation of Lauryn Hill — in 1998. Now the former Fugee is prepared to hit the stage again with 17 intimate tour dates set to kick off in New York on Dec. 27.

Two of the most electrifying names in R&B today will share the stage when the OMG Tour rolls into a city near you this November.

Trey Songz will be opening up for R&B lover boy Usher on his OMG Tour this fall.

“It’s an absolute honor for myself to go on tour with him this fall,” Songz confirmed while introducing Usher’s performance at the 2010 MTV Music Video Awards on Sunday.

The long anticipated concert series — in sport of Usher’s hit album Raymond vs. Raymond — will kick off at the Key Arena in Seattle on Nov. 10. Songz will be performing music from his extensive catalogue — plus the newly-released Passion, Pain & Pleasure , which hit stores Tuesday.

Has a feud between neo-soul superstars Maxwell, Jill Scott, and Erykah Badu put the kibosh on the remainder of the crooner’s North American tour?

Word on the Curb has it that Maxwell has scrapped the rest of his concerts over a feud with tour mates Jill and Erykah, who have both consistently run overtime in their opening sets for the “Pretty Wings” star. Celebrity snitches tell FreddyO.com that all of Maxwell’s concerts after the NYC stop on June 26 have been postponed or cancelled.

Drake Free Concert Shut Down By Cops; Ends In Riot

A free concert featuring hip-hopster Drake was shut down by New York City cops on Tuesday after crowds became too much for Big Apple authorities to handle.

“It’s cancelled. Riot police shut it down. It was just too many people. Over 15,000 people and it was just too unmanageable,” says a spywitness, who was on the scene for the melee.
