To mark National Homeless Youth Awareness month, legendary rap group Public Enemy, featuring Flava Flav and Chuck D, took a tour around Washington yesterday, boarding a flat-bed truck and throwing copies of their CD to the crowd on the way to Lisner Auditorium.
The event — billed as An Evening With Public Enemy: Concert to Fight Youth Homelessness –benefited the Sasha Bruce House, a homeless youth shelter in the District where Flava Flav and Chuck D hosted an early Thanksgiving dinner earlier in the day.

The “Sasha Fierce” star been scheduled to perform at a Kuala Lumpur stadium on October 25, but the show “has been postponed to a future date to be announced shortly”, Malaysian entertainment company Marctensia said in a statement Monday.
The “Run It” singer – who pleaded guilty to assaulting former girlfriend Rihanna earlier this year – has announced plans to perform at a series of small venues in a return to music. “BOUT TO START A SMALL TOUR SOON.. 15 TO 20 DATES.. Just weeks after announcing dates for “Fame Kills: Featuring Kanye West & Lady Gaga,” tour promoters at Live Nation pulled the plug on the North American tour on Thursday.
“Live Nation announced today that the Kanye West and Lady Gaga ‘Fame Kills’ tour has been canceled,” promoters said in a statement issued this evening.
Refunds are available at the point of purchase, and tickets purchased online and by phone will be refunded automatically.
