Damon Dash is entering the world of the starving artist. The cash-strapped former music mogul will host the official opening of his new Dash Gallery this month later this month. Tucked away inside Dash’s DD172 Building, located in Manhattan’s trendy Tribeca neighborhood, is slated to open to the public on Feb. 19. Opening night at the Dash Gallery will feature works by contemporary artists Bobby Castaneda, Jeremy Wagner, and Hector Ruiz.
Damon Dash: Down, Out, and Soon To Be Divorced….
Rachel Roy, the fashion designer wife of Roc-A-Fella co-founder Damon Dash, has filed for divorce from the former rap mogul.
The breakup is just the latest in a string of financial failures for Dash, who owes $2 million in state taxes, and a bank has started foreclosure proceedings on his two Tribeca condos.
Dame and Rachel wed in Mexico in January 2005. They have two daughters.
