Drake, Kid Cudi, and Wale earn a spot as “The Gangsta Killers” in the year-end issue of the respected GQ Magazine.

GQ writes:

”Have you been listening to hip-hop this year? If not, we’ve got good news: The gangster persona is finally dead, and these are the kids who killed it. One song at a time, they built a new era in which duct-taped kilos, exotic firearms, and freaky girls are out and real life is the focus.

But I’m not going to rap about how much crack I’ve sold.” Cudi also laughs at the idea of talking tough. “Anybody from cleveland will tell you I wasn’t in the streets” he says. “Ask them! They’ll say, ‘Scott was the goofy class clown.”

The Young Money stars have been enjoying a wave of success following their popular “America’s Most Wanted” summer tour, but a fraudster is attempting to cash in by posing as Cortez Bryant, the boss of Bryant Management. Police have been called in to catch the imposter and an investigation has been launched.

Representatives for Lil Wayne and his protege Drake have issued a warning to music industry professionals alerting them of the con man.

“Bryant Management… is fully cooperating with the investigation and confident that the individual will be apprehended in a timely manner,” a statement from their spokesperson reads. “It has come to light that an individual has been impersonating Bryant Management CEO Cortez Bryant for financial gain through false bookings of his clients, specifically the much buzzed about recording artist Drake….The impostor has created bogus twitter (such as twitter.com/Tezpoe) and email accounts (such as lilwaynebooking@gmail.com) in Bryant’s name which he then utilizes to secure and pocket deposits for false bookings and club appearances.”

"In the studio ... working on Thank Me Later ... magic ... surgery September 8th," he wrote. "Then we're back in business."

In June, the rapper tore his three ligaments (ACL, MCL and LCL) during a game of basketball.

The Canadian hip-hop newcomer was forced to pull out of the 30-minute set at The Young Money Presents: The America’s Most Wanted Music Festival. Doctors had advised Drake against performing so that he could recover from a torn ACL, but the actor turned rapper was determined to take the stage. Drake lasted just a few seconds before slipping and collapsing on the stage.

In a post on his Twitter.com page Saturday, Drake writes, “All is well… on the bus laying down… getting surgery this week, but I’m walking.”
