Rihanna brought her Last Girl On Earth Tour to the Staples Center in Los Angeles overnight. The Bajan Mama was joined onstage by special guest Eminem, where the music superstars performed their smash hit, “Love The Way You Lie!”
Eminem is spending his “Recovery” at the top of the Billboard 200 for the second week in a row. After debuting at No. 1 last week, the Motor City’s outspoken lyricist moved another 313,000 copies of his hit LP Recovery this week.
The album has sold 1.1 million copies, achieving platinum status after just two weeks on shelves.
Eminem’s Recovery album sold 741,000 copies in it’s first week – the Billboard biggest debut since AC/DC’s Black Ice hit shelves in Oct. 2008.
The album is Em’s sixth album to debut No. 1.
Don’t call it a comeback: A year after after his Relapse album took Billboard by storm, Marshall Mathers continues to prove that he’s fully recovered with 16 tracks that hip-hop heads promise will remind fans why he’s one of the most prolific artists to ever touch the mike. Although early estimates predict tha Em would sell 580,000 to 620,000 copies of his new LP Recovery, the rapper is now expected to sell between 700,000 and 750,000 discs.
Jay-Z proceeded with plans for an outdoor concert in New York on Monday just days after the gig was axed over security concerns.
Eminem has recruited the guy from the ShamWow infomercials to promote his eagerly-anticipated new album, Recovery — dropping June 22.
Hip-hop heavyweight Eminem and Bajan star Rihanna perfomed their single “Love The Way You Lie” during the Activation E3 Preview Concert at The Staples Center in Los Angeles on Monday night.
“I want to bring out a very special guest with me tonight. California, make Rihanna feel at home ya’ll,” Em shouted, electrifying the packed arena.
The six-song set began with “Won’t Back Down,” off the rapper’s eagerly-anticipated Recovery album, which Em just announced will now be released on June 21.
The tracklist for Em’s eagerly-anticipated new LP — Recovery — emerged online Thursday, just ahead of the album’s June 22 release date.
