Daytime’s newest diva, Wendy Williams, is calling on Nick Cannon to do something besides quote Bible scriptures on Twitter to defend wife Mariah Carey’s honor against the verbal beating she’s receiving at the hands of Eminem.
MTV News has announced that hip-hop heavyweights Eminem and Kanye West will duke it against each other in four different categories at next month’s ceremony in New York City.
Eminem’s “We Made You” and Kanye’s “Love Lockdown” are both up for Video of the Year, Best Male Video, and Best Hip Hop Video. “We Made You” will face Kanye’s “Paranoid” for a Best Special Effects prize.
The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, hosted by Russell Brand, will air live September 13, 2009.
It sounds like Nick and Mariah have company on Eminem’s Shit List. The lyric dynamo verbally rips “Crank That” star Soulja Boy on the bars of a new diss track — entitled “Die Already” — that is heating up the interwebs.

In an interview with RapRadar.com on Wednesday, Eminem confirmed what many fans have suspected since Sunday night’s 2009 MTV Movie Awards — he was in on the scene-stealing stunt that left a bareback Sacha Baron Cohen half-naked in his lap.
“I’m thrilled that we pulled this off better than we rehearsed it. It had so many people going ‘nuts’ so to speak. Everyone was blowing me up about it,” Em tells the site. And at the end of the show, what did he do? “After the ceremony I went back to my hotel and laughed uncontrollably for about 3 hours. Especially after I saw it on air.”
