
Erykah Badu and The Roots have teamed up to create a cover of the late Michael Jackson’s 1972 hit, “I Wanna Be Where You Are.” The original song was featured on MJ’s debut album, Got To Be There.

Erykah Badu has revealed the name of her new baby with rapper Jay Electronica on her Twitter page.
“Our daughter’s name is MARS MERKABA,” she writes, which follows a post from earlier today that read, “her eyes are looking right into mine . she struggles to focus . so much ♥ in her . i wonder where she just came from. i mean .. her spirit…”

Singer Erykah Badu and hip-hop star Jay Electronica welcomed a daughter on Sunday.
The rapper announced the happy news with an update on his online Twitter page, writing: “Feb 1 2009 my first child, my daughter was born at 1.30 pm exactly. It’s the happiest day of my life.”
Erykah is already mother to son Seven Sirius with Outkast rapper Andre 3000, and daughter Puma Rose with rapper The D.O.C.
