DUI bust or not, Faith Evans is forging ahead with plans for an R&B comeback. Here’s the official cover art for Faith’s new album, Something About Faith. The disc — featuring guest appearances from Keyshia Cole, Snoop Dogg, Mary Mary, and Kelly Price — debuts Oct. 5.

Don’t call it a comeback: Grammy-winning R&B songbird Faith Evans was arrested and charged with DUI over the weekend after being stopped at a drunk driving checkpoint in Los Angeles.

The arrest comes more than five years after Evans was collared for cocaine possession after a similar traffic stop in Atlanta.

According to Officer Cleon Joseph of the Los Angeles Police Department, Faith, 37, was arrested Saturday night near Marina del Rey on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving. Her car was impounded and the “Good Life” songstress — a mother of four — was released on bail early Sunday.

A reality series chronicling Evans’ return to the spotlight following a hiatus from the industry is reportedly in production. Faith’s latest album is slated for release in October.

No wonder she’s shopping a reality show! Singer Faith Evans is in the doghouse with Uncle Sam. A new published report claims the “Good Life” singer is in arrears to the Internal Revenue Service to the tune of $360,000 in federal and state taxes.

According to The Detriot News: “The IRS filed a $36,360 lien against Evans on March 4 with the New York City Register’s office….The IRS filed a $119,821 lien against Evans on Feb. 16 with the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds….The State of New Jersey filed a $204,000 lien against Evans on Oct. 30, 2008, with the New Jersey State Superior Court.”

In the meantime, the mother of four is still in chats to star in a new reality show called It’s All About Faith, which will chronicle her musical comeback and life as a stay-at-home mom.

The series, co-produced by Faith and Ten2One Entertainment, is currently being pitched to networks. The show will also follow the R&B singer at home with her husband/manager Todd Russaw and their four children.

It’s All About Faith is expected to debut later this year. The series will be followed by the songbird’s 6th album, on her Prolific Music Group imprint, which is distributed by E1 Music.

R&B singer Faith Evans sat down for Q&A with Essence.com in advance of Friday’s release of Notorious.

In the piece, titled “Holding Her Own,” the widow of the Notorious B.I.G. discusses what first attracted her to the iconic rapper.

ESSENCE.COM: Overall, are you content with the film?
EVANS: I am happy. I can’t say there aren’t some discrepancies within the film because it’s not like I was a creative partner in the film. Of course, there are things that I know aren’t correct. For instance, a particular song might not have been out when a certain incident occurred. The people who are watching won’t know but those of us who lived it will. A perfect example is the one scene in the studio with me, Lil’ Kim and Biggie—I don’t remember that happening and it might have been tension between them that I was unaware of, and it happened when we were separated. I didn’t know that happened before. No matter what your walk in life is, you get to know B.I.G. through his words. The footage from the day of the funeral was one of my favorite scenes because I was right there in the limo, and although there is no footage of Ms. Wallace inside the car, Angela Bassett captured her exact look. It was powerful. Seeing all those people who were out there for Biggie that day made it more of a celebration. It was a perfect ending to that day.

In a new interview with Hip Hop Weekly, Lil Kim slams Big’s mother, Ms. Voletta Wallace, and the late rapper’s wife, Faith Evans, for their involvement in the upcoming Biggie biopic, Notorious, in theaters January 16.

“I’ve had enough and I’m about to expose them both… I’ve been quiet for a long time. I’m very disappointed in Faith,” Kim told the hip hop tabloid this week. “There’s nothing Faith or Ms. Wallace could do to stop me from reppin’ B.I.G. all day. I’m gonna always do that… It’s time for Ms. Wallace to be exposed.”

In her upcoming tell-all autobiography, Keeping the Faith, Grammy-nominated singer Faith Evans writes the time she caught rapper Lil Kim in bed with her late husband, the Notorious B.I.G. Wallace.

Faith writes:

“I don’t know what got into my head. But I decided that I needed to know once and for all what Big was really trying to do. On that night before Christmas, I drove to Big’s house on a mission to find out where I really stood. The security guard at the gate just waved me in when I pulled up. It was Christmas Eve and she’d seen me come into the complex with the kids, so I guess she didn’t think anything of it. I parked in the rear of Big’s town house and walked up to the garage. It was locked. I hadn’t been over to Big’s house a whole lot but I did know that you jiggle the garage door a certain way and unlock it.”

” I got into the garage, where there was an elevator that would take me to both floors of Big’s duplex. There I was, rocking a black skully cap and a heavy goose-down jacket, tiptoeing into the elevator and pressing the button to go up to the second floor, where his bedroom was located. I got to Big’s bedroom door, turned the knob, and went inside. As soon as I saw a small lump next to Big’s large frame, I flew into a rage, ran over to the side of the bed, and pulled back the covers. I grabbed some chick out of the bed and started beating her ass. At some point, the chick’s wig came off in my hand; it was a short, cropped wig. I stopped throwing punches for a minute to get a good look at the chick I was beating up. It was Lil Kim. She was completely butt-naked, yelling as I pushed her around the room.”

“So you not fucking her, right?” I screamed at Big. ‘Yeah, you not messing with her anymore, right?’ When they heard all the commotion, Cease, D-Roc, and Gutter came running into the room. ‘Oh shit!” they yelled in unison. “It’s Faye! How the hell she get in here?”

Big sat up in bed and pointed at Kim, who was standing in a corner of the room, trying to cover her naked body with her hands while I was still yelling at Big. “Yo, get her outta here,’ Big said. They led Kim out of the room and she screamed and cursed the whole way.

When I left a few hours later to get the kids, I noticed that Kim had taken my key to my Land Cruiser and scratched up my entire car, from the hood to the back bumper. Even though we ended up having sex that day, at that point I decided I was 100 percent through. I was not going to be a ride or die chick, always going to lengths to show Big how I felt. I was the mother of his child and his wife. But I was going to have to let go.
