The Queen of Talk Oprah Winfrey is courting Paula Cook — the jilted wife of Fantasia Barrino’s married beau — for a tell-all appearance on the final season of The Oprah Winfrey Show.
Well — this girl doesn’t waste anytime.
Former American Idol Fantasia Barrino, 26, hasn’t wasted any time getting back on the grind after her suicide attempt two weeks ago. The troubled songstress dropped by Good Morning America this morning to perform her new single “Bittersweet,” promote her album Back to Me (in stores today), and to chat with anchor Robin Roberts about her recent personal drama.
“I think everybody feels like I tried to harm myself over a man, but you know I’ve been in a lot of bad relationships. I think that had somewhat to do with it because it was so heavy, it was brand new information, I was already going through so much. But I think it was just six years of everything, of me holding all that stuff on the inside and not letting it out…I got very, very tired.”
Barrino’s overdose and hospitalization came in the wake of reports claiming she broke up boyfriend Antwaun Cook’s marriage to wife Paula, an allegation her publicists have denied.
“When I met him, he was separated,” Barrino said. “(He) wasn’t living in his home. He didn’t want to be back with his wife — that is what I was told. I remember waking up in the hospital (and thinking:) ‘It didn’t work, I’m still here in this hellhole. Still here with all this drama going on.’”

After being hospitalized for an overdose of aspirin and sleep medication, former American Idol Fantasia Barrino admits that she intended to commit suicide.
“I didn’t have any fight in me. I didn’t care about anything. I just wanted out. At that moment, I wanted out. I wanted it to be over with – all of it, all of that shit. I just sat in the closet and looked at the mirror and took all the pills in the bottle. I wanted to go to sleep and just be at peace. I knew exactly what I was doing. You can’t accidentally take a whole bottle of pills,” the mother-of-one remarks in a VH1 Behind the Music special, which airs on Monday night.

On Monday, a photo surfaced showing Antwaun Cook — the married T-Mobile salesman at the center of a dating scandal with Fantasia — walking from his family home in North Carolina toting a bunch of his clothing.
TMZ claims Cook, 26, has moved out of the house and into a nearby apartment.

Fantasia’s new album, Back to Me, will not be released on July 27 as originally planned. Instead, the American Idol Season 3 winner will release the offering on Aug. 10.
