It took a while — but former American Idol Fantasia Barrino is officially a high school graduate.
Early in her career, Fantasia decided to get honest about struggling with her ability to read and write. The Grammy nominated singer-turned reality star, 25, appeared on stage in her home state of North Carolina over the weekend, were she earned her honorary high school diploma while becoming apart of Andrews High School graduation ceremony.
Barrino — who dropped out of school at 14 and later became a teen mom — walked with the graduates in a cap and gown at the Greensboro Coliseum.
On Monday, VH1 renewed former American Idol Fantasia Barrino’s hit reality TV show, Fantasia For Real, for a second season on The Celebreality Network.
