VH1 has set a premiere date for a reality series starring for American Idol/accused homewrecker Fantasia Barrino. Fantasia For Real will premiere on Jan. 11, 2010 @ 10PM and follow the ex-American Idol champ as she juggles single motherhood with the recording of her third album. The unscripted series will highlight how the star — the lone breadwinner in a large family — balances motherhood with a recording career.
“Fantasia has engaged millions of fans not only through her music and her amazing talent but also by her incredible fairytale life story,” said Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President, Original Programming & Production, VH1. “Our audience helped Fantasia become an ‘American Idol’ and now, with this series, they get a backstage pass into her real life as she confronts obstacles to realize her true potential as an artist, a mother, a daughter and a sister.”
The eight-episode, 30 minute show will kick off with a sneak peek of the first episode on VH1.com later this month.

What kind noodle noggins does Fanny take us for?
Just a week after former American Idol Fantasia Barrino was romatically-linked to cell phone-selling married father of two, Antwaun Cook, in a scandalous tabloid report, the Grammy-nominated singer has stepped forward to deny reports that she is a homewrecking Buss It Baby.

That would be all good if the fool hadn’t already been photographed with the adulter’s name tatted on her sternum!
“Yes, [the rumors] were all really cute to me. I guess it was something about a guy from T-Mobile? Inaccurate,” Fantasia said in an interview with Honey Magazine this week.
“He was hot, but I think I’m looking for my own man. There’s no boo in my life, I’m married to my career. Right now I’m not really focused on a boyfriend; we all know what happens when you get them… I have no tattoo on my shoulder, [that rumor] was very well put together! I wear my body out more purposefully now and when I’m walking I see people checking, “Like does she have a tattoo there?” As a matter of fact, I’ve never even [met him] before. I think I’d want to be with a guy who’s in the same tax bracket as I am … or higher!”

Is former American Idol Fantasia Barrino a hubby humper? Say it ain’t so, Fanny! Star Magazine has blown the lid off of the Grammy-nominated powerhouse’s secret romance with a married father of two! And if that isn’t scandalous enough, a snitch in Barrino’s camp claims the cell phone salesman has dumped his wife and young children and moved into the “Truth Is” singer’s $1.3 million mansion in Charlotte’s upscale Piper Glen suburb.
“I’m not going to deny that the word ‘homewrecker’ is floating around,” a friend of the singer reveals in Star’s Nov. 30 issue.

Fantasia Barrino has Simon Cowell to thank for paying off her debt and saving her Charlotte, North Carolina home from foreclosure last month.
The Mecklenburg County home was due to be auctioned off by the local Sheriff’s Office on January 12 , but the sale was called off at the last minute after Fanny reached a deal with financiers.
“Very quietly, Simon promised to help Fantasia take care of some of the back payments she owed so the house wouldn’t go on the block,” an informant has revealed to The National Enquirer.
“His offer of monetary support helped her stave off the creditors, at least for the time being. Simon didn’t want to take any credit for it, he just wanted to help her out of a jam. He was hoping to keep his good deed a secret. He didn’t want to cause Fantasia any further public embarrassment.”

Fantasia Barrino got candid about the throat tumor that marred her run in the Broadway production of The Color Purple in an interview with celebrity guru Jamie Foster-Brown, featured in the September edition of Sister 2 Sister Magazine.
Jamie: You are a helluva performer. That energy on that stage is just unbelievable. So we miss you with that. Now, getting back to the Color Purple. They were saying you had absences. It wasn’t that you didn’t want to work, but because your vocal cords kept shutting down or something? Tell me about that.
Fantasia: The tumor that was on my throat would make me very tired. And you know me, I’m a hard worker. I came out of the box working hard. I kept telling them that I’m getting very tired. It was like I couldn’t get enough sleep. And sometimes onstage, I could taste blood. I had braces on, so [I thought] maybe I’m biting my lip or I’m biting something in my gums or something. But I would taste blood every now and then. And what would happen was they would send me to the hospitals and they would say, “Well, she’s dehydrated; that’s what’s making her tired.” They would put IVs in me. But it just wasn’t enough. I kept saying, “I’m drinking water; it can’t be that, something else must be wrong.” And so after the Color Purple, after doing Clive Davis’s party, I had to do “I’m Here” that night and I remember waking up and I told my manager, I said, “Something is wrong. I’m so tired.” And I’m an Energizer bunny, so I know something ain’t right. I went to one of the best doctors in LA. He checked me out, he says, “Well, first of all, you have the flu and you have a sinus infection.” And he said, “But if you don’t mind, can I put a camera down your throat?” And so I let him look down my throat and I had a cyst, he said at first. He let me see it and I remember busting out crying and crying ’cause my vocal is my everything. I’ve been singing ever since I was a little baby and I’ve never experienced anything like that before. And in The Color Purple I play so many different ages from 14 to 30-something, so I was busting blood vessels. And so my mother came out and we all were just like, okay, we’re going to pray our way through this. I went into surgery and he came out and told my mother it was a tumor. It was a tumor.
