Former BET VJ Free has joined New York’s Power 105.1 as the co-host of The Ed Lover Morning Show.
“I have always wanted to be on New York radio and I’m thankful for the opportunity to wake up listeners on the Ed Lover Show,” Free said in a statement Tuesday. “I look forward to joining Ed daily and being the voice of news and entertainment for all listeners in the Tri-State area on-air and online.”
Former ‘106 & Park’ host and rapper Free has posted two new songs on her Official Myspace where it’s been said that the track “Dilemma”, featuring R&B singer Faith Evans, will be the first single off her upcoming debut album.
Former host of 106 and Park hostess Free has signed a new record deal with Rock-a-Fella Records, according to the rumor mill. The still untitled debut release is said to feature collaborations from Salaam Remi (Amy Winehouse, Leona Lewis), Kanye West (Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson), Chucky “Amadeus” Thompson (Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans), Just Blaze (Jennifer Hudson, LeToya Luckett), Scott Storch (Keyshia Cole, Silena Murrell), Tim “Timbaland” Mosley (Keri Hilson, Nicole Scherzinger), Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliot (Fantasia, Tamar Braxton), The Neptunes: Pharrell Williams & Chad Hugo (Kelis, Toni Braxton) and Bryan Michael Cox (Claudette Ortiz, Wynter Gordon).
