I Love New York 2 contestant Jamal Rashead Trulove has been sentenced to 50 years to life in a California prison after he was convicted of murder by a San Francisco jury earlier this year.

In 2008, the former reality show contestant, 29, competed for the affections of high-maintainence drama queen Tiffany “New York” Pollard on the VH1 reality soap I Love New York. A year later, Trulove — who New York nicknamed “Milliown” — allegedly gunned down 28-year-old Seu Kuka in the Sunnydale Housing Projects in Visitacion Valley, where Kuka and Trulove had been involved in a fight earlier in the night. Trulove later fled to Monterey County where he was arrested on the outstanding murder warrant.

He was tried and convicted in February.

According to E! Online: “The episode [in which Trulove was eliminated from the show] was taped just three weeks before the shooting. Even though he lasted just one episode, his appearance proved fateful. A woman recognized him as the murder suspect and told San Francisco cops she saw him on TV.”

At the sentencing, the defendant addressed the court and denied having killed the man he considered his best friend. He asked the victim’s family to pursue the real killer, according to The San Francisco Gate.

A former contestant on the second season of VH1′s I Love New York has been convicted of murder. Jamal Rashead Trulove, 29, appeared on the show as a potential suitor for Tiffany “New York” Pollard. He went by the nickname “Milliown” on the show, but only appeared on the first episode after he was dismissed for fighting.

Jennifer Hudson’s fiancé David Otunga also appeared on the show that season. Prosecutors in San Francisco say Trulove fatally shot Seu Kuka just three weeks after the show wrapped filming in 2007.

Trulove faces life in prison when he is sentenced March 19.

VH1 reality personality Tiffany “New York” Pollard offers her condolences to love rival Jennifer Hudson in this vlog on the Hudson Family Tragedy in Chicago over the weekend.

Jennifer, whose mother and brother were murdered on the city’s South Side on Friday, is engaged to Punk, on of New York’s former suitors on the VH1 series I Love New York 2.

Television’s “New York” sounds like a little bitter over the Oscar winner’s engagement to David “Punk” Ortega, the Chicago-based attorney who first appeared as one of Tiffany’s suitors on Season Two of I Love New York.

“He’s really loving being Mr. Jennifer Hudson. I think he’s loving the lavish things she brings to his life, he’s seeing the world due to Jennifer’s success,” Tiffany retorted earlier this week. “[But] can you love this person if they lose all of this tomorrow? She needs to find out. I just hope people are marrying each other for the right reasons.”

“It’s a mixed match, it won’t work,” she says. “He’ll be in her shadow like Al Reynolds was to Star Jones, like Stedman Graham is to Oprah.”

I Love New York rejects Chance and Real have parlayed their VH1 celebreality status into a new dating series. The Cali-bred brothers will move into the “Stallionaire Ranch” and watch fifteen young ladies battle it out for their love on Real Chance of Love, debuting November 3 on VH1.

In the final episode, Chance and Real will each be left with two potential women.

Tiffany “New York” Pollard is single-again. The reality television personality has split with boyfriend, and I Love New York 2 winner, George “Tailor Made” Weisberger. Fans will get an upclose and personal look at the dramatic breakup on New York’s new VH1 series.

“They broke up during the filming of New York Goes Hollywood. The whole drama went down with our cameras rolling and will play out for the audience,” a rep for the network confirmed in a statement on Wednesday.

“In January, George had a serious discussion with Tiffany,” a source revealed to PEOPLE Magazine. “He had come to the conclusion that he couldn’t handle the relationship anymore. It was too distracting to his life, his career and his daughter. He couldn’t consistently be involved in that kind of drama.”

“Their lives are very different….When they first got back from L.A. after they filmed I Love New York 2, everything was great……He said he almost felt guilty that she was home alone. She wasn’t used to dating someone with a traditional 9-to-5 job.”

VH1 is ready to launch it’s next I Love New York spinoff. Tiffany Pollard is going to Hollywood in an effort to break into the world of acting in a new upcoming reality series, entiled New York Loves Hollywood.

The NYDN reports: “The season is going to be called ‘New York Loves Hollywood’ and will follow her attempt to become an actress in Los Angeles. They are currently trying to cast established industry people in Hollywood to be on the show with her.”

New York and Tailor Made fought all night at the Grand Opening of Suzie Wong’s Lounge NYC, the New York Post reports.

After she pointed her finger in his face and yelled at him in front of Shanna Moakler, Simon Rex and Bethenny Frankel inside the club, the duo continued squabbling outside, where Weisgerber head-butted Pollard in the face.

“She flipped out,” a Post spy reveals.

Tiffany Pollard, the star of the hit VH1 reality show I Love New York, could marry the winner of the show, George “Tailor Made” Weisgerber, as soon as next month in Las Vegas.

“We haven’t set a date,” Tailor Made told Splash News on Monday. “We’ll probably just go to Vegas on a whim.’ ”

The couple are slated to visit Sin City on Feb. 8, according to the Snitch Circuit.

New York will be featured on an upcoming cover of King Magazine.
