Looks like even more jail time is looming for rapper Ja Rule. The Grammy-nominated hip-hopster pleaded guilty on Tuesday to failing to file tax returns and promised to pay more than $1 million in back taxes and penalties to the Internal Revenue Service, The New Jersey District Attorney’s Office said.
The once platinum-selling rapper has been cast as an ex-con-turned-pastor in a gospel-inspired film, featuring Adrienne Bailon of Cheetah Girls and 3LW fame.
A New Jersey contractor has dropped a lawsuit against rapper Ja Rule – because the complainant fears for his safety. Ja was accused of failing to pay contractor Joel Tobia the remaining $8,000 balance of a $13,000 bill, after he agreed to fix a bad leak at the star’s Saddle River mansion in early 2007.
