While they may seem like the perfect couple on the surface, in the July issue of Redbook Magazine, actress Jada Pinkett Smith says she and husband of nearly eleven years Will Smith often disagree on things, but that is part of why they love each other.
“We’re constantly surprising each other,” she said. “No matter what side of the scale one is on, the other will switch to keep the balance. We crack up about it all the time. We hardly every agree on anything, and we’ve learned to really respect that in our relationship. You might have an idea in your mind of what marriage is supposed to be, and you’re driving, driving, driving, toward this ideal picture. But you have to be open to the fact that your relationship is meant to be something else.”

Jada Pinkett-Smith appeared on NBC’s The TODAY Show Monday, where she chatted with host Meredith Vieira about her new Nurse Jackie-esque TNT drama, Hawthorne.
Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson has joined the cast of the upcoming remake of the popular 1984 film The Karate Kid.
The star — who played Queenie in the hit 2008 film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button star, has been cast as the mom to Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s son Jaden in The Kung Fu Kid, which will also star Jackie Chan, MTV News has learned.
The movie, produced by The Smiths, is set to open theaters in 2010.


Variety has confirmed that Jaden Smith, the 10-year-old son of Hollywood staples Will and Jada, will star in Columbia Pictures’ upcoming reworking of the hit 1984 film The Karate Kid.
