Janet Jackson is set to launch her own line of lingerie. The “Rhythm Nation” star announced at the Versace Menswear Show in Milan on Saturday.

The Janet Jackson Lingerie Collection will debut in stores later this year.

R&B diva Janet Jackson is latest celebrity to partner with MTV on the production of a new reality series. The “Discipline” star will be featured as a mentor to aspiring singers and dancers in a forthcoming unscripted talent series on the music network.

“It’s really about finding who’s the next Janet Jackson or Justin Timberlake or Usher. And we’ll find it from a pool of people who you wouldn’t typically find them from,” the show’s executive producer David Broome told Variety. “We’ll go to YMCAs, church groups, local community centers and try to cast the show.”

Two-time divorcee Janet Jackson will wed boyfriend of seven years hip-hop producer Jermaine Dupri in a romantic ceremony in Paris this Winter, The National Enquirer reports.

“Janet and Jermaine are going to put the final touches on their wedding plans. They want a very simple wedding in Paris with the Eiffel Tower as the backdrop,” an Enquirer spy says. Read the rest of this entry »

Island Def Jam has responded to Janet Jackson’s claims that the label is no longer promoting her current album, Discipline.

“Unfortunately we haven’t experienced the results we would have liked with this new album. But we respect and support Janet,” a label rep said in a statement released to Billboard on Wednesday.

Discipline has only sold 392,000 copies in the U.S. since its release last February.

Janet Jackson has called off the European leg of her Rock Witchu Tour, E! News reports.
