Jay-Z feels “fantastic” since turning 40. The rap mogul’s latest album, Blueprint 3, topped the US charts, giving Jay more number one LPs than any other solo artist. Hov reaches the landmark age last December and insists he is happy with it because his career is going so well.

“I feel fantastic about turning 40, I’m in a great place, got a fantastic album, my eleventh number one which beats Elvis, so I’m feeling like the king of pop.”

Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z says he regrets not releasing a range of umbrellas when Rihanna’s song was a worldwide hit in the Summer of 2007.

“We really should have had some Rihanna Rocawear umbrellas when the song became a hit,” Hov says. “We could have made a load of money on those. I’m still kicking myself.”

He added: “The goal is to make Rocawear a $1 billion company. People want a quality product, which is what I want Rocawear to be known for – we make a damn good pair of jeans, that’s why people buy them.”

“‘Umbrella” was such a mega hit that fans started bringing umbrellas to Rihanna concerts to imitate the island beauty’s now-famous dance routine. However, umbrellas were eventually banned from her shows after audience members continually injured themselves.

Rihanna was so embarrassed by rumours she landed her record deal by embarking on a sexual relationship with Jay-Z, she couldn’t look him in the face. Rumors surfaced alleging the Rated R star was more than just friends with her mentor when she was discovered in her native Barbados by the rap mogul in 2006. Even her closest friend believed she’d bedded Hov to get signed — but Rihanna insists she has never been intimate with the hip-hop star.

“It was like: ‘Of course she had to give Jay-Z oral sex to get that deal.’ That rumour was everywhere in Barbados and it was so disgusting. It made me feel really weird. I would even be weird around Jay-Z. I wouldn’t be able to look him in the eye,” Rihanna recently confessed. “One day, he called and he was like, ‘Yo, you can’t buy into these rumours. You can’t let people move you with anything they say.’ The rumours got very funny to me after that.”

Jay-Z refused to walk the red carpet at the Victoria’s Secret show, The New York Post claims. The rapper who attended the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in the Big Apple last Thursday night decided not to be photographed with the lingerie models because he didn’t want to upset his wife Beyonce, who is currently on tour in Ireland.

“Victoria’s Secret begged, but Jay-Z refused,” a source said. “He explained it was out of respect for Beyonce.”

Hov was also given his own booth at the after-party so that he would not be photographed anywhere near the models.

New York’s own Jay-Z and Alicia Keys got World Series champ Alex Rodriguez — better known these days as Kate Hudson’s manbag — to introduce their live performance of the Big Apple’s new anthem, “Empire State of Mind,” at the 2009 AMAs.

Luckily for everyone, there were no guest appearances by Lil Mama.

Jay-Z has axed the remainder of his tour. The “99 Problems” hitmaker has been thrilling fans on his “Blueprint 3 2009″ Nationwide Tour, but he’s been forced to pull out of the last three dates on the trek,citing a “scheduling conflict.”

Ticketholders will be entitled to a refund at their place of purchase.
