Former Def Jam prez JAY-Z is to launch a brand new record label with computer company Apple, according to reports. The rapper is rumored to be going into partnership with the iTunes to become head of the company’s hip-hop division.

Jay-Z Beyonce wedding rumors are back. The couple has reportedly been engaged since June 2006, but sources say Jay has been reluctant to rush into marriage and was stalling for more time. The Rumor Mill is ablaze with reports that Jay-Z and Beyonce were married in a small private ceremony in Paris, France over the weekend. According to MediaTakeOut.com (You know how they roll.) , a close relative of the Knowles family claims the couple decided against the traditional exchanging of rings and chose to get matching tattoos with a personal inscription on their ring fingers instead.

According to the New York Post, Jay Z, along with several partners, recently purchased a $66 million site at 510 W. 22nd St. which runs through to 511 W. 21st St. in New York City.
The mogul hasn’t yet decided what to do with the Chelsea property, purchased under the name “J Hotels,” but he’s considering either turning it into a swanky, luxury-lodging spot or a high-end art gallery.

Def Jam is planning to drop Jay Z, who will take up a a new contract at Columbia, the New York Daily News reports. The switch stems from Def Jam’s frustration with Hov’s ‘outrageous demands.’
A source tells New York Daily News: “People have lost count of how many times he’s come out of retirement. “Everybody knows he’s not around the office much. Everybody at Universal loves him, but they can’t justify paying him the money he wants when so many people have been laid off.”
