Jay-Z is to expand his clothing empire to include a line of cosmetics. The hip-hop giant has teamed up with cosmetics company Elizabeth Arden to launch the new line alongside Rocawear.

Jay-Z is DJ’ing for Sirius Satellite Radio Hip-Hop Nation channel – which will be suitably renamed Jay-Z Nation – for one week starting on Monday (Today). Jay will be playing some of his own tracks as well as those of his favourite rappers. Chief executive of Sirius, Scott Greenstein, says: “Jay-Z is one of the pre-eminent creative forces in the music industry. Over the last decade, he has truly changed the face of hip-hop and music culture.”
Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z are closing out 2007 with a joint show in Las Vegas. According to the rumor mill, the celebrity couple is planning to hit the stage at the opening of Jay-Z’s new 40/40 Club in Sin City on December 30th. Insiders claimn the Las Vegas showcase will be a mini-concert based around both entertainers.
JAY-Z and the 40/40 Club in New York are facing legal action from a woman who alleges she was fired because she was pregnant. Folake Ogundiran, who worked as a sales assistant at the club, has filed a discrimination lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court in which she claims she was told not to turn up for work after telling a female supervisor she was expecting a baby. Jay-Z is planning to launch his very own arena in New Jersey – named after his Rocawear clothing brand. The thirty-seven year old is in talks with The New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (NJSEA) over naming rights to the arena in Meadowlands, which is currently held by Continental Airlines.
