Jay-Z has inked a $15 million deal to buy British clothing brand Artful Dodger.

“Artful Dodger is an incredible brand with a lot of room for growth and Scott Langton is a visionary designer. They represent what’s next and new in fashion and we are glad to have both the brand and Scott as a part of our family,” the rap mogul said in a statement.

Jay-Z ‘American Gangster’ #1 Debut; JAY-Z Ties Elvis For Chart Record

JAY-Z has tied ELVIS PRESLEY on the U.S. album charts after claiming his tenth number one album. Hov’s American Gangster debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 countdown with opening week sales of 425,000. Jay is now tied with Elvis Presley in second place for the most number one albums on the chart; only The Beatles have had more-coming in at nineteen.

“I’ve got this Elvis thing going on right here, but what’s great about that is that I’ve never had a number one single on any of my albums. People buy them for the body of work.”

Jay-Z Dedicates Hammerstein Ballroom Concert To Kanye West

As the hip-hop world reacts to the death of Dr. Donda West, Jay-Z dedicated his sold-out Sunday night concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York to Kanye West-near the end of his nearly two-hour set, the rapper asked for a moment of silence to pay respect to Donda West.

“Let’s get serious for a minute,” Jay-Z told the energetic crowd during his encore performance. “This show is dedicated to Kanye West who had a death in the family.” The crowd quickly became silent. “We got you, Kanye. Stay strong,” he added before launching into his final song of the night, “Roc Boys.”

Jay Z ‘American Gangster’ Banned From iTunes

‘JAY-Z’ CARTER has banned his new album, ‘American Gangster,’ from the download site iTunes -because it is a “work of art.” Jay says he wants fans to enjoy the LP in its entirety-as opposed to just individual tracks from the release.

“As movies are not sold scene by scene, this collection will not be sold as individual singles.”

Jay-Z is to expand his clothing empire to include a line of cosmetics. The hip-hop giant has teamed up with cosmetics company Elizabeth Arden to launch the new line alongside Rocawear.

Jay-Z is DJ’ing for Sirius Satellite Radio Hip-Hop Nation channel – which will be suitably renamed Jay-Z Nation – for one week starting on Monday (Today). Jay will be playing some of his own tracks as well as those of his favourite rappers. Chief executive of Sirius, Scott Greenstein, says: “Jay-Z is one of the pre-eminent creative forces in the music industry. Over the last decade, he has truly changed the face of hip-hop and music culture.”
