Executives at Air Platinum Holding are suing the rap mogul over claims he paid for just 37 of 55 hours of travel on the company’s planes last year. They’re demanding $81,000 for 18 hours of allegedly unpaid flight time. Company bosses are seeking $24,200 for a luxury trip to England in 2009, a $12,285 tax charge, $8,500 for catering on 17 flights within the US, and $3,000 for food on four international flights, bringing Air Platinum’s total damages to $137,485, TMZ.com said Tuesday.

Hip-hop’s royal couple are going head-to-head at next month’s BET Awards. In nominations for the 2010 ceremony announced on Tuesday, both Jay-Z and Beyonce earned nods for Video of the Year, Best Collaboration, and Viewers’ Choice. In fact, Jay-Z received two nominations in the Video of the Year category.
Hov is the top contender at this year’s ceremony, leading the pack with five nominations. He’s also up for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist. Trey Songz, Beyonce, Melanie Fiona, and Alicia Keys follow with four nods each. Baby-faced Canadian crooner Justin Bieber, 16, scored a nomination in the best new artist category.
The 2010 BET Awards, hosted by Queen Latifah, airs live from The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on June 27.

The Grammy-winnng rapper will reportedly be dropping his album hits catalogue next month with the release of The Hits Collection Volume 1. The compilation project is expected to arrive in stores June 29. While details are still developing, the first volume will reportedly feature tracks from Hov’s Blueprint III and Black Album LPs.
