Oscar/Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson is the latest celeb sporting a milk mustache for the popular Got Milk? nutritional campaign. The slimmed-down superstar and new mom credits the white stuff, combined with a lifestyle of exercise and healthy eating, with helping her lose 56 pounds to play Winnie Mandela in the forthcoming biopic Winnie.

“A lot has changed since I first hit the stage,” the new mom says in the ad. “Now I’m a news mom with an audience of one. And who’s the star of my show? Milk. It’s the elixir that builds strong families. Talk about a powerful performance.”

President & First Lady Obama will host In Performance at The White House: A Celebration of Music from the Civil Rights Movement, a concert celebrating Black History Month in February.

Natalie Cole, Bob Dylan, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, John Mellencamp, Smokey Robinson, Seal, and other have signed up for the show, which will be emceed by Oscar-nominated actor Morgan Freeman and singer/rapper/actress Queen Latifah. The concert will be televised on Feb. 11 at 8:00 PM ET on PBS stations. NPR will also produce a one-hour special from the event to air on its stations throughout the month.

Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson has been cast as the ex-wife of Nelson Mandela in the film by South African director Darrell J. Roodt. However, Winnie is voicing her displeasure with the project in a letter issued through her attorney Bowman Gilfillan. Mandela has been involved in a number of scandals since separating from her husband in 1992, including accusations of ties to the murder of a young South African activist and a conviction for fraud in 2003.

“It is difficult to understand how a production bearing the name of an individual who has not been consulted at all could ever be appropriate or tell the full story of that individual’s life as media reports suggest this production is intended to,” the letter read. “This is certainly the case here, where our client has not responded to allegations and comment which have been made about her, precisely because she has sought to protect her sphere of personal privacy as best she can in extremely difficult and turbulent times.”

Late last year, the feature — tenatively-titled Winnie — came under fire for the decision to cast J-Hud instead of a qualified South African actress.

Well — that was fast: Jennifer Hudson is expecting her second child just four months after giving birth to baby son David Jr., if a new tabloid scoop from Star Magazine is to be believed.

The Grammy and Oscar-winning singer/actress and her wrestler fiance David Otunga made the discovery on Dec. 10, a friend of the couple blabs in the new edition of Star Magazine.

“Jennifer was in total shock when she found out she was having another baby. She had wanted some space between the kids’ ages.(But) she and David love kids. It’s another thing for them to celebrate during the holidays.”

Jennifer’s older sister Julia is also reportedly pregnant. The star — who never publicly confirmed her first pregnancy — recently landed the role of South African notable Winne Mandela in the upcoming biopic Winnie — amid controversy.

Jennifer Hudson: I’ll Be Home for Christmas, airing tonight at 8 PM ET on ABC, features musical performances shot on location in Hudson’s native Chicago. The American Idol-turned-superstar will also introduce audiences to her family, former teachers and childhood friends. She visits the local church where she got her start singing in the choir and the music academy where she studied, among other places.

“The first thing you do for the holidays is go back home, so I went back home, and the next thing you do is spend it with all of your family and your friends in those familiar places. That’s why I chose to go back home and share it and make it personal.”

This holiday season will mark the first for her 4-month-old son David Daniel Otunga Jr.

“I need to make it great for him,” says the Oscar and Grammy winner. “I just want to make it as exciting and fun for him as it was for me. And I want him to have this feeling each time this time of year comes around. Whatever that is, that’s what I want to make my tradition.”

The former American Idol-turned-Dreamgirl is set to portray Winnie Mandela in South African filmmaker Darrell J. Roodt’s new project Winnie, about the famous politician’s longtime wife. However, Jennifer’s gig has caused uproar among the members of the Creative Workers Union of South Africa, who insist a local South African star should have been cast as the title character in a movie so important to the country’s history.

The Union’s secretary general, Oupa Lebogo, is even threatening to boycott the feature if J-Hud remains in the lead role.

“This decision must be reversed, it must be stopped now. If the matter doesn’t come up for a discussion, we will push for a moratorium to be placed on the film,” Lebogo says.

Jennifer Hudson is headed to the White House, The Washington Post revealed Monday afternoon.

The new mom — who gave birth to her first child a baby boy named David Daniel Jr. last August — will sing for President and Mrs. Obama and their guests at a state dinner in Washington Tuesday night. The Oscar and Grammy-winning star performed the National Anthem at the Democratic National Convention in 2008, when then-Senator Obama accepted the Democratic nomination for president.

The American Idol star, who won an Oscar for her role in the 2006 box office hit Dreamgirls, will play the South African personality in the movie, which will begin shooting in South Africa in May next year, .

Winnie — directed by veteran South African filmmaker Darrell J. Roodt — will be shot on location in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Robben Island – where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years before becoming the country’s president.

Jennifer is in her first months of motherhood and the “Spotlight” star is opening up about her most precious moments with David Jr — who arrived Aug. 10.

“I love being nurturing and caring because I love to see other people happy,” Jennifer tells PEOPLE. “Who better to devote my time to than my own child?”

How hard was it keeping your pregnancy under wraps?“David and I were the only people who knew for a long time. I would forget I was pregnant, it was so easy. I didn’t have any morning sickness, no cravings either. I just thought, ‘Oh, well, we’ll wait until it’ll tell on itself.’ I didn’t show until I was seven months so that made it easy right there.”

Your son was delivered via C-section, what was your recovery like?
“Everybody told me how much it was going to hurt afterwards but I think I have a different tolerance for pain than others. By that night after I had the baby, I’m like, ‘Look, I can’t sit in this bed anymore. I’ve got to get up!’ I’ve been up and about since he was born. To me, the pain is no different than when you work out a muscle you’ve never worked out before and it’s sore.”

Would Jennifer like her son to become an entertainer like his Mom & Dad? “We’ll definitely encourage education. His father is an education fanatic so we definitely want him to get an education and go to school….My mom always said, ‘Whatever you want to do, I’ll support you as long as you’re happy.’ So I will do the same.”
