William Balfour, the estranged brother-in-law of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson, has been arrested in Illinois in the deaths of the singer’s mother, brother, and 7-year-old nephew. Balfour, a convicted felon, was arrested Monday at a prison where he is being held on a parole violation.

Donald Trump has put Jennifer Hudson and some of her family in his Trump International Hotel & Tower in Chicago for free to protect them from the press following the murders of the Oscar winner’s mother, brother, and nephew in the Windy City last month.
“She’s a great girl. And we’re protecting them well,” said Donald. “They are very safe.”
Jennifer Hudson is reportedly staying at Oprah Winfrey’s Chicago apartment as she mourns the murder of her mother, brother, and nephew.
“Jennifer has been staying at Oprah’s East Lake Shore Drive condo. There’s plenty of privacy and security there,” a source tells Star Magazine.
Oprah offered Jennifer a place to stay after she returned to her hometown following the news.
Jennifer Hudson has pledged to help the families of murder victims by setting up her own charity.
Jennifer and her sister Julia have established a new foundation in the honor of their recently deceased family members to help others suffering sorrow.

A private memorial service will be held on Monday for the mother, brother and nephew of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson, who were shot to death in Chicago last Friday.
The Hudson Funeral Home, owned by a cousin of the actress, announced the service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at the Apostolic Church of God.

Julia Hudson, the older sister of Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson, has written a passionate tribute to her mother, Darnell, brother Jason, and 7-year-old son, Julian, who were all killed in the family’s South Side Chicago home on Friday.
