William Balfour, the estranged brother-in-law of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson, has been arrested in Illinois in the deaths of the singer’s mother, brother, and 7-year-old nephew. Balfour, a convicted felon, was arrested Monday at a prison where he is being held on a parole violation.

Donald Trump has put Jennifer Hudson and some of her family in his Trump International Hotel & Tower in Chicago for free to protect them from the press following the murders of the Oscar winner’s mother, brother, and nephew in the Windy City last month.
“She’s a great girl. And we’re protecting them well,” said Donald. “They are very safe.”
