Sade is hitting the road with John Legend. The smooth jazz icon announced last week that the multi award-winning Legend will join her as the supporting act for her upcoming summer tour of the US. The run kicks off on June 16 with a stop at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore before wrapping up in Anaheim on Aug. 30.
The tour will support Sade’s Grammy-nominated 2010 release Soldier of Love.
“I’m very excited to join Sade on her summer tour. She is an incomparable artist and I’m honored to share the stage with her. I know we’ll provide our fans with an experience to remember. I can’t wait to start the tour,” Legend said in a statement last week.

The inspirational single is a revival of the ’70s anthem first made famous by Harold Mevin & The Blue Notes — featuring Teddy Pendergrass on lead vocals.

John Legend won the Humanitarian award at Sunday’s 2010 BET Awards, but the big news of the night was the crooner’s chuckle-worthy hairline. Trending topics about John’s ‘do lit up the Twitterverse over the weekend, prompting the furious “Live It Up” singer — who argues that he’s had the same hairline since he was 6 – to Tweet out a distressed defense.

John Legend is launching his own record label to help find and promote new up-and-coming talent.
The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter has agreed to a deal with bosses at music publishing company Cherry Lane, which includes the development of his own imprint, called HomeSchool Music.
“Through this new joint venture, we are looking forward to uncovering some of the best new talent together.”
