It’s Tuesday and the highly anticipated first single from Jay-Z and Kanye West’s upcoming collaborative LP — titled Watch the Throne — has debuted on the Interwebs! The single — “H.A.M.” (“Hard as a Mutha…”) — features production by Lex Luger, who has quickly emerged as the go-to producer for hip-hopsters in recent months, and boasts a beat that doesn’t disappoint. We’re getting our first sneak peek at Kanye West’s upcoming music video, “Monster.” The promo features a heavy-hitting cast of hip-hop royalty, including Jay-Z, Rick Ross, and Nicki Minaj. And what’s more, the video’s unusual and menacing concept has people buzzing that it could rival Michael Jackson‘s 1982 short film epic “Thriller.”
In this 30-second preview released on Wednesday, fans are treated to edgy themes straight out of a Wes Craven film with West kissing emaciated European models, Ross sitting among models hung from their necks like cuts of meat, and Minaj snaking around on the floor like a python.
An official release date has not yet been announced.
The comeback is complete: Rolling Stone released their list of the Best Singles and Albums of 2010 and outspoken hip-hopster Kanye West took the top spot with the song “Runaway” and critically-acclaimed fifth album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
