Kid Cudi’s breathing easier these days after swiping Paris Hilton’s “Get Out Off Jail Free” Card.

Cudi was arrested in New York in June after allegedly smashing an ex-girlfriend’s cell phone and breaking the door of her apartment off its hinges. The star was charged with criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance after cops found a drug believed to be liquid cocaine on his person.

Cudi entered a guilty plea in exchange for leniency during a court hearing on Friday. A judge ordered him to two days community service and warned the hip-hopster to stay out of trouble for the next six months.

The “Day ‘N Nite” hitmaker, real name Scott Mescudi, spoke candidly about his cocaine addiction in the Aug/Sept. issue of Complex Magazine. The Kid says he started getting high to cope with the pitfalls of fame. He has since kicked his hard drug habit and now smokes only marijuana.

Sometimes you can’t go home again. Pandamonium struck during a homecoming concert in Cleveland, Ohio on Thursday after a drunken fan/concertgoer/loon stormed the stage and attacked rapping backpacker Kid Cudi.

Maybe it was Cudi’s liquid cocaine dealer trying to get his money.

This isn’t the rapper’s first encounter with a stage-stormer. Earlier this year, Cudi was accosted and kissed by a male fan while performing in a packed nightclub.

Hip-hopster Kid Cudi was arrested in New York City over the weekend and slapped with charges of felony criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance following an altercation with an unidentified woman.

Cudi — whose real name is Scott Mescudi — smashed a woman’s cellphone and broke the door of her apartment off its hinges during a spat in Manhattan at approximately 2 AM Friday morning.

Cops found a glass bottle of a controlled substance at the scene and promptly took Cudi into custody.

The backpack rapper — a native of Cleveland — released his debut album Man on the Moon: The End of Day in 2009. He also co-stars on the HBO cable television comedy series How to Make It in America.

A statement from the star reads: “Kid Cudi has decided to take an early leave of absence from Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball tour, in order to balance his schedule surrounding the recording of his next album and acting commitments. Cudi does not want to disappoint his fans and will move forward with his individual show dates in December and throughout the month of January.”
