Former MTV veejay LaLa Vazquez and NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony — of the Denver Nuggets — tied the knot in New York City on Saturday.

The bride wore a Vera Wang wedding gown gifted to her by pal Kim Kardashian as she exchanged vows with Anthony in a ceremony performed by Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, PEOPLE dished. Among the 300 invited guests were Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Lakers hoopster Lamar Odom, the Miami Heat’s newest star LeBron James, director Spike Lee, hip-hop star Ludacris, and singer Kelly Rowland.

The happy couple — who enjoyed a five year engagement — are parents to a three-year-old son named Kiyan. He served as ring bearer.

Lala and ‘Melo will chronicle the weeks leading up to their nups in a untitled VH1 reality series premiering later this summer.

Here comes the bride — and VH1 cameras will be on hand to catch every detail! The Celebreality Network behnd Brandy & Ray J and What Chilli Wants has inked Denver Nuggets starring forward Carmelo Anthony and his longtime fiancee, former MTV veejay LaLa Vasquez, to a new docu-series about their forthcoming July 2010 wedding and all of the planning that will go into getting ready for the big day.

The still-untitled five-part, half-hour series will premiere on Monday, September 13 before wrapping up with a 90-minute wedding finale airing in October.

Carmelo Anthony and his wife Lala Vasquez recently plopped down $2 million on a new mansion in Los Angeles.

The gated property is approximately 6,500 square feet and has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms — plenty of room for the Denver Nuggets star and his fiancee of nearly six years. Lala is a familiar face to any frequent viewers of the celebrity love reunion shows on VH1; she has hosted reunion shows for Flavor of Love, I Love New York, and For the Love of Ray J.

The couple — who became engaged on Christmas Day 2004 — will wed in New York City this July. They have a son, 3-year-old Kiyan Carmelo Anthony.

After a five year engagement, NBA star Carmelo Anthony and his fiancée, former MTV VJ Laa Vazquez will finally tie the knot in New York City. Lala, who is working on production side of the small screen these day, made the announcement on The Wendy Williams Show Wednesday.

Melo — a Denver Nugget All-Star — and Lala have hired celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss to plan the upcoming nups. Weiss has planned weddings for a variety of A-list celebs, including Heidi Klum and Gwen Stefani.

The couple have a 3-year-old son together.
