Lauryn Hill’s bun came out of the oven over the weekend…But we’re still not sure who put said bun there in the first place.

“Mother and baby are fine,” a source told BlackCelebKids.com. Apparently, Hill “had a little scare” when “the baby came out the womb with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck. All is well now and everyone is happy.”

So right about now we world normally congratulate the proud parents. Only we’re not sure who one of them is. That being the daddy. Lauryn’s estranged husband/mate/father of her other five children, Rohan Marley and Hill were no longer together. But now he’s shooting down reports that he dumped Hill for Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana, explaining:

“Ms. Hill is the mother of my children, whom I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for. I would never do that.”

Chile puhleeze. You aren’t even the finest Marley!

L-Boogie’s got a bun in the oven. Grammy Award-winning singer/rapper Lauryn Hill is pregnant with her sixth child. The former Fugee –- who already has five children, Zion David-Nesta, 13, Selah, 12, Joshua, nine, John, seven, and three-year-old Sarah with on/off partner Rohan Marley –- announced her news at the end of her concert at Detroit’s Chene Park on Saturday night. The mother-to-be was careful, however, to stay mum about the identity of the father.

“I keep having these children. I don’t know if I’m the most fertile woman in America. I’m going to be taking time off to give birth,” she told the crowd.

Lauryn, 36, is reportedly in her second trimester and will give birth later this year.

Lauryn Hill continues to softly kill what’s left of her cult fanbase after showing up late for yet another show on her North American Winter Tour.

An unapologetic Hill angered her fans for the second time in a month after keeping the audience waiting for three hours in Atlanta and changing the arrangement of her songs beyond recognition, according to concertgoers in attendence.

Lauryn was supposed to begin her set at at Center Stage in the ATL at 9 PM last Friday, Jan. 14, instead she didn’t start he performance until midnight and then declared she was tired of “playing the same music night after night” and performed several unfamiliar versions of her hit songs.

Last year, the former Fugee kept a crowd of angry Washingtonians waiting until almost midnight because “she had to wait for her manicure to dry.” And just last month, Lauryn — who is touring small venues across the country –was booed at a venue in Brooklyn after taking the stage almost four hours behind schedule. She explained that delay by defiantly telling fans that she was “worth the wait.”

Reclusive rapper/singer Lauryn Hill is hitting the road in the new year! The multiplatinum-winning Grammy winner has played just a handful of gigs since dropping her lone solo album — the critically-acclaimed Miseducation of Lauryn Hill — in 1998. Now the former Fugee is prepared to hit the stage again with 17 intimate tour dates set to kick off in New York on Dec. 27.

Hill — who says she “may never play venues of this size again” — will go on to perform for fans in Atlanta, Chicago, and Montreal.

Cited as one of the greatest femcees of all time, Hill’s prolific rhymes and smokey voice catapulted her into the public eye as a member of the Fugees, whose 1996 album The Score was certified six times platinum and took home two Grammy Awards for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal and Best Rap Album.

The More Things Change, The More They Stay The Same….Former Fugees singer Lauryn Hill kept her fans waiting for three hours before taking the stage at her show in Washington, DC last Wednesday night.

Hill was unable to start the performance on time because her manicure and pedicure, which she had applied earlier in the day, had not yet dried.

“She’s sorry she kept her fans waiting, but couldn’t go out there looking busted,” according to Lauryn’s rep.

When Hill took the stage, she played a short 20-minute set before ending the concert to a chorus of boos from the audience.

Lauryn Hill has made her first appearance on Billboard’s Hot 100 in over decade, thanks to a song that leaked on the Internet a few weeks ago.

The song, “Repercussions,” caught Lauryn Stans by surprised when it suddenly appeared on the blogosphere late last month. Though it doesn’t really sound like a finished song, the song managed to garner enough radio airplay that it debuted on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Rap Songs chart at #94.

This is Lauryn’s first appearance on a singles chart since “Turn Your Lights Down Low” — 1999’s posthumous collaboration with Bob Marley — which peaked at #49 on the charts.

It even looks like L. Boogie’s ready to start performing again. The mother of five performed at a New Zealand Music Festival in January, and is slated to take the stage at the “Rock the Bells” concert in Los Angeles. this weekend.

Notoriously-reclusive music star Lauryn Hill has spoken out about her hiatus from musicmaking. Lauryn gave gave a rare interview to National Public Radio’s Zoe Chace following a performance at the Santa Rosa Harmony Festival.

Why did she stop recording?

The 35-year-old noted that there “were a number of different reasons” why she stopped performing and recording after her hit 1998 solo album.

“There were a number of different reasons. But partly, the support system that I needed was not necessarily in place. There were things about myself, personal-growth things, that I had to go through in order to feel like it was worth it. In fact, as musicians and artists, it’s important we have an environment — and I guess when I say environment, I really mean the [music] industry, that really nurtures these gifts. Oftentimes, the machine can overlook the need to take care of the people who produce the sounds that have a lot to do with the health and well-being of society, or at least some aspect of society. And it’s important that people be given the time that they need to go through, to grow, so that the consciousness level of the general public is properly affected. Oftentimes, I think people are forced to make decisions prematurely. And then that sound radiates.”

The singer-rapper is best known for her work with ’90s hip-hop trio The Fugees and her groundbreaking Grammy-winning solo album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. She has been largely absent from the music scene since 1999 and has only released one album since his critically-acclaimed 1998 solo effort: 2002′s MTV Unplugged. Lauryn says now that her children are older, she feels more comfortable getting back on the road.

“I’m trying to open up my range and really sing more. With The Fugees initially, and even with Miseducation, it was very hip-hop — always a singing over beats. I don’t think people have really heard me sing out. So if I do record again, perhaps it will have an expanded context. Where people can hear a bit more.”

Lauryn turned her back on the music world after releasing her wildly-successful solo album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, in 1998. Today, she’s is a mom of five, whose known for being a little crazy. During the Fugees reunion in 2006, Lauryn would leave her bandmates — Wyclef and Pras — onstage for up to 45 minutes before appearing, demanded to be addressed as “Ms. Hill,” and almost changed her stage name to “Empress.”

In 2007, Pras said: “Before I work with Lauryn Hill again, you will have a better chance of seeing Osama Bin Laden and George W. Bush in Starbucks having a latte, discussing foreign policies… At this point I really think it will take an act of God to change her, because she is that far out there.”

Organizers of the Stockholm Jazz Festival — one of Sweden’s biggest music events — say hip-hop and R&B singer Lauryn Hill has cancelled all tour dates in Europe this summer for health reasons.This includes shows in Sweden, Greece, the Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France, and Austria.

Festival spokeswoman Liisa Tolonen says the artist’s agent informed the festival late Tuesday that all performances in Europe by the troubled former Fugees singer have been cancelled.

The tour was going to be a comeback for Lauryn who has kept a low public profile in recent years.
